ABOUT HINKLEY POINT C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you’ll be doing
As a/an Electrical Construction Engineer, you will have the following accountabilities:
- To deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the MEH Alliance construction activities
- Define boundary of scope of works
- Ensuring documents are compliant with latest works information and other MEH documentation
- Support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures
- Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance
- Enable the requesting and compliance of the MEH Alliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB
- Enable the co-ordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction work.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for;
- Experienced in delivering and operating at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
- Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH
- Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher
