Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Construction Laborer to join our diverse team. The ideal candidate should possess construction expertise, be acquainted with both non-engine and small-engine tools, engage in site setup, and undertake various physically demanding tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year experience within the industry.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certification or training in related to construction.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining equipment, including but not limited to: Pneumatic hammers, vibrators, tampers, rock truck, skid steers, etc.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
- Assist in demolishing buildings
- Assist in aligning pipes and perform related activities during sewer and watermain installation
- Assist HEOs to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities,
- Mix pour and spread materials
- Erect and dismantle forms, scaffolding, ramps, shoring, and barricades,
- Using tools and equipment
- Working as part of a crew
- Following construction plans
- Use of Rotary Laser
- Unloading and loading construction materials
- Assist with Health and Safety practices by: participation, notification of hazards, practicing safe work precautions, wearing PPE, and completing routine training, and asking questions.
