We have licenced builders and experienced earthmoving operators to development your skills with. JR Construction and Retaining Walls has the specialist equipment and professional expertise to undertake almost any landscaping project.

SO, WHAT DUTIES CAN YOU EXPECT TO DO IN YOUR APPRENTICESHIP?

• Structural landscaping
• Preparing slabs, footings and tying steel for concrete
• Learning surveying, leveling and excavation
• Working in with other contractors
• Handling and finishing concrete
• Turf and paving preparation
• A variety of Retaining walls
• Mowing, spraying, slashing, trimming, fertilizing & watering
• Planting, irrigation, digging
• Reading drawings and engineering details
• Moving materials

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Valid driver’s license and own transport is a must
• An ability to undertake physical work
• Eye for detail, ear for instruction
• Desire to learn all things landscaping
• Be punctual and reliable - A good work ethic!
• Someone enthusiastic, energetic and willing to apply themselves
• A valid white card
