Description:

A highly respected construction company, with a strong history of over 10 years in the market, founded out of Brisbane, and now operating across the East Coast, is looking for an experienced Construction Manager.
This opportunity is perfect for those who have a background in managing projects within retail, commercial office, education, hospitality, and child care sectors. Their projects typically range in value from $5 million to $20 million, with a mix of 70% new build and 30% fit-out projects
About this role
We are seeking a professional who ideally (not essential) began their career in a site-based role and has since progressed into a management position. This position is ideal for a Project Manager ready to step up to a Construction Manager role or an experienced Construction Manager, demonstrating leadership in delivering projects on time, within budget, and above expected quality standards.

ABOUT YOU

  • Direct experience in the construction sector, with projects valued between $5 million and $20 million.
  • A career that began in a site-based role, advancing into management, highlights a practical understanding of construction processes and challenges.
  • Open to a Project Manager seeking career advancement into a Construction Manager position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or a qualified trades person who has worked through to construction management
  • Proven track record in commercial construction, ideally in a senior project management or construction management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, processes, and relevant regulations.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and manage project teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders.
