Description:

ABOUT YOU

  • Trade or tertiary qualified with an electrical/mechanical fitters’ licence and a certificate IV in WH&S preferred.
  • Exposure to Power Transmission or Substation projects
  • Demonstrable experience in construction, risk, OHS, quality, and environmental management.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders up and downstream.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and related software (MS Suite).

Responsibilities:

Our Power Projects team is currently handling multiple significant power projects and is searching for an experienced Construction Manager or an individual willing to step up to the role of CM to become a part of our team. You will supervise a major Power Transmission Line project with the site office in Balrandald, NSW.
This role will require FIFO or DIDO on a 20:8 roster with LAHA/Site Uplift. As part of a larger team, you will work closely with the project manager and frontline leaders, providing practical construction services to ensure the project is delivered within time, within budget, and within quality parameters.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Management and supervision of subcontractors, supervisors & field staff
  • Leads delivery team and ensures quality delivery of planning and scheduling according to project requirements.
  • Ensure project documents are complete and to document control standards.
  • Lead by example and continually promote relevant aspects of Zero Harm when engaging with operational teams.
  • Contributes to the development of project strategy, business plan and budget.
