We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Inspector/ Project Manager in Tucson, Arizona. WT has had a Tucson office for over 60 years. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to help lead the Southern Arizona Unit.
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 year Civil Engineering degree, preferred
- 4+ years of construction materials testing and observation experience
- Experience ranging from small to large complex construction and/or heavy highway projects
REQUIRED SKILLS
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving history required
- Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
- Experience with performing IBC Special Inspections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive
- Attention to detail
- Strong organization and planning skills

Responsibilities:
- Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed
- Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field
- Prepare daily reports on observation activities
- Assist with proposal scoping and preparation
- Track project budgets and prepare invoicing
- Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with training, supervision, and mentoring of junior staff as needed
