OTIS is seeking highly motivated Electricians to join our team and work across the Construction and Modernisation areas of the business in Launceston, Tasmania.
This position will report to a Tasmania Branch Manager and work closely with other Installers, Electricians, Adjusters, Trade Assistants, Field Engineers, and Construction Coordinators.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Service and required repairs of lifts, escalators, and travelators in the Launceston, Devonport, and Burnie areas.
  • Installation of New Equipment and Modernisation of lifts, escalators, and travellators, working to the highest safety and environmental standards while ensuring delivery targets are met.
  • Commitment to take part in a rotating after-hours callout roster.
  • Ensures work is performed per the relevant Codes, including SAA Lift Code AS1735 and AS3000, and complies with the company’s Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials properly and safeguard such property.
  • Attend customer handing over inspection/service inspections on installation and modernization projects where required.
  • Ensure timely completion of defects identified during service / handing over inspection in coordination with the Project Manager where required.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Hold an “A” Grade Electrical Licence with an Industry Construction Card.
  • Willing to travel between Launceston and the North West Coast.
  • Experience in the elevator industry would be a significant advantage, but it is not essential.
  • Have an uncompromising attitude, awareness, and adherence toward working safely in all situations.
  • Enjoy communicating with various levels of stakeholders and working closely with others in the field team.
  • Be solutions-oriented, independent, and well-organized.
  • Can perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.
  • Able to plan and prioritize tasks and complete them on time.
  • Willingness to learn new leading-edge technologies and advance your skill level.
