Construction Project Analyst

Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is looking for a Construction Project Analyst to join our Revenue Operations team, reporting to the Vice President, Sales & Success. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing and analyzing data, managing a database, preparing summary reports, and presenting to small (1-5 ppl) and large (6 – 50 ppl) audiences. We are looking for someone that is analytical, creative, a strong communicator, able to break down complex information, eager to join a high-performance team, and genuinely loves to solve challenges. Any experience or knowledge of the construction or concrete industry would be a major bonus, but not required.
Additionally, the Construction Project Analyst will source and provide critical intelligence for our revenue and customer success teams, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional team members to consistently deliver impactful insights that drive our business forward. Simply put, we are looking for someone to turn available data into actionable insights to supercharge our organization’s growth.
This role will be hybrid with the National Capital Region (i.e. Ottawa, ON, CAN) as the primary working location.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Legally able to work in Canada and travel within the United States
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst including data models, mining, and segmentation
• Ability to thrive in environments where change is constant, fast-paced, and often with strict deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• “Growth hacker” or creative, results-oriented mindset with the ability to get stuff done
• Honest, caring, and candid communication style to all internal and external stakeholders
• Humility, a willingness to share the credit and receive / consider new ideas from others
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong business acumen ideally with comprehensive industry knowledge in Construction and Concrete (Ready-Mix Concrete Producer knowledge a huge plus!)
• Experience with our tech stack (or similar): MS Office, Zoominfo, Dodge, Glenigan, and Salesforce among others

• Understand our products and solutions, and how they apply to the construction industry
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the construction and concrete industry, and become a subject matter expert on the construction project lifecycle
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Manage and improve databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Work with Management Team to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Prepare and review summary reports with internal stakeholders
• Collaborate, problem-solve, and/or strategize with team members on the impact of industry economic signals
• A potential to travel to support the gathering of market intelligence and attend conferences impacting the progression of the industry (minimal, 2%)
