Description:

Shine People Solutions, an Aboriginal-owned business, specialises in recruiting staff for a wide variety of industries in regional and remote areas of Australia.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client whose vision is to be the trusted construction partner to leading organisations. They are a commercial builder with an open builder’s license that specialises in fit out and refurbishment projects in the commercial, education, government and health sectors.

Our client is currently seeking interest from candidates who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to join their team as a full time Project Manager in each of the following locations:

  • Brisbane, QLD
  • Chatswood, NSW
  • Port Melbourne, VIC

As a Project Manager, you will be required to provide overall Leadership and Management of designated projects from handover and acceptance, through construction to handover, finalisation, and defects. The role requires effective HSEQ management and continual physical control and financial awareness, strong leadership, good communication and sound management.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be a team player who has:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar project management role with strong exposure and knowledge across trades and all stages of the construction process in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Management of trades to ensure high-quality, timely and financially favourable outcomes.
  • Ability to manage project timelines and budgets.
  • Strong working knowledge of BCA and Australian Standards including Disability Code.
  • Sound computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft office, MS Project.
  • Ensure compliance to site WHS plans and processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships resulting in repeat business.
