Location: UKRI STFC, Oxford
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours
Job Type: Temporary / Full Time - Approx 3 Month Contract

Duties include:

  • Oversee projects and help support reactive maintenance running across the UKRI-RAL contract
  • Plan and manage more complex specialist projects as identified by the Senior Contracts Manager
  • Review incoming projects and allocate the necessary internal staff resource
  • Identify and interpret project design criteria and engage specialist sub-contractors and personnel to identify solutions for implementation
  • Engage sub-contractors and support the Commercial team in surveying sites prior to construction
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project are effectively planned, monitored, and controlled
  • Deliver project within programme and budget
  • Ensure all Company Procedures are being complied with
  • Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed
  • Be responsible for achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site
  • Ensure adherence to site specific protocol and procedures
  • Manage and monitor sub-contractors
  • Work with the Senior Contracts Manager to assist with the scheduling, report preparation and chairing of the client progress meetings
  • Work with the Senior Site Manager to assist in the allocation of sites to Site Managers
  • Schedule and chair regular sub-contractor meetings as required
  • Compile and distribute project meeting minutes
  • Maintain contractual records of all project related matters
  • Attend and provide input on regular contract meetings with the Client
  • Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate
  • Positively promote the company wherever and whenever possible
  • Compile and submit H&S files upon project completion
  • Line management and development of Trainee Project Manager
  • Ensuring working practices and behaviours align with team and personal objectives
