Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities

  • Post graduate studies in business, energy, climate change, environmental science/ engineering and/or sustainability desirable but not essential.
  • Candidates with accounting, finance and economics backgrounds will also be considered.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience; consulting experience well regarded.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, client-oriented environment, including critical thinking skills on environment and sustainability problems.
  • Familiarity with climate risk reporting requirements, such as TCFD, ISSB and/or ASRS desirable but not essential. .
  • Understanding of climate scenario data for assessing physical and/or transition risks and opportunities desirable and highly regarded
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, including advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Previous project management experience across multi-disciplinary teams desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, including clients.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and challenge yourself.
  • Australian residency or work visa.
  • Ability to travel for work

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF ROLE

We are currently seeking motivated early career professionals, either recent graduates (with a relevant environmental/ sustainability focused degree) or candidates with 1-2 years relevant experience looking to further their career in sustainability. The successful candidates will join our growing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Advisory & Mandatory Reporting services team, based in either our Melbourne or Sydney offices.
You’ll be part of a team known for its collaborative, positive, and supportive environment, where you’ll contribute to delivering sustainable solutions for our clients. The primary focus will be on supporting our Climate Risk and ESG Reporting service stream, aiding clients in reporting progress and ensuring compliance with relevant data and other information regarding their climate and ESG program goals. Additionally, you’ll have opportunities to assist in other business lines from time to time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be aligned with Anthesis’ Climate Risk and ESG Reporting services and engage with team members of all aspects of climate risk and reporting projects, from stakeholder engagement to conducting climate risk & opportunity assessment through to preparing for mandatory reporting requirements (e.g. ASRS, ISSB).

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct gap analysis and roadmap against mandatory climate reporting requirements (e.g. ASRS, ISSB)
  • Support client climate risk and opportunity assessment through stakeholder engagement, climate data analysis and risk and opportunity assessment
  • Interpret physical and transition climate data to develop narratives specific to client operating context and communicate findings to client management and leadership through presentations and report
  • Research client business activities and reports to gain an understanding of their operations, supply chain and key business areas
  • Develop climate risk report disclosures
  • Engage with clients of project delivery including requesting data and presenting findings
  • Work with Anthesis team members across project delivery, proposal development and client engagement.
  • Work with Anthesis team members to further develop climate risk tools and capabilities
