Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
We are a leading and innovative provider of corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and reporting services (scopes 1+2+3), delivered by a global team of over 100 practitioners and led by industry-recognized experts. We have a track record in successfully addressing cutting-edge issues, including the calculation of supply chain and other scope 3 emissions. We have deep connections and partnerships with NGOs and other standard-setting organizations that help shape the corporate accounting field. We deploy start-of-the-art technologies for data collection, carbon footprint development and data visualization, including via internally-developed platforms. And we offer complementary advisory services that support our clients throughout their net zero journey, in such areas as climate action plan development, carbon markets, renewable energy, climate risk and ESG strategy.
We are looking for a highly motivated Consultant II to support our growing GHG Accounting and Reporting service in North America. Your role will be to support delivery on consulting projects and support business development efforts to create inventories of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Your projects and clients may span a diverse set of industries, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to boutique brands and start-ups. You will leverage our service teams and subject matter experts to ensure clients receive our best solutions and technical advice. You will be joining an engaged, collaborative community that approaches its work with energy and optimism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of GHG inventorying services, including operational scope 1+2 and value chain scope 3 inventories, FLAG GHG accounting, voluntary and regulated compliance advisory, benchmarking, and information system and data planning
  • Undertake project-related research, collect and analyze data, and engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Draft reports and presentations that convey key messages and inform strategic decision making
  • Manage and deliver tasks and projects on time and within budget
  • Contribute to business development activities with new and existing clients
  • Be part of global project teams with colleagues in different offices and time zones
  • Work on several projects at the same time, typically for different clients on different topics

Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • BA/BSc. degree in mathematics, engineering, science, economics or related field
  • At least 2 years’ of relevant industry experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with global GHG accounting and reporting standards, especially GHG Protocol
  • Familiarity with public reporting practices for GHG inventories, including CDP
  • Experience developing scope 1+2+3 inventories is preferred
