Description:

RPS is seeking an experienced Consultant to join our Advisory Services – Commercial and Delivery team in Victoria. We are seeking conscientious and high-performing individuals looking to join our team providing cost advisory services for our government and private clients.
We work on some of Australia’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the renewable energy, transport, utilities, defence, and social infrastructure sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious cost advisors to join our expanding team in Melbourne. In joining us you will be:

Responsibilities:

Strategic advice and support
Representing RPS, provide strategic and specialist advice and support to clients delivering major public and private sector infrastructure projects and programs in the renewable energy, transport, utilities, defence, and social infrastructure sectors.
Cost advisory services

Support public and private sector clients with all elements of cost estimation and associated advice to implement major infrastructure project works and services, including:

  • measuring and estimating of construction costs and cost planning;
  • producing project budgeting for feasibility studies;
  • contract administration and reporting;
  • assessing project risk and cost reporting for financial institutions; and
  • lifecycle costing and replacement reporting.

As an RPS Consultant

You will interact directly with our clients to support the delivery of high-quality services and deliverables while demonstrating the RPS behaviours. Additionally, you will provide analytical and practical project delivery support on delegated elements of client engagements, including:

  • identification, endorsement, and achievement of clear engagement and project objectives;
  • identification, management, and resolution of key risks and issues;
  • supporting the management and coordination of inputs and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality outcomes; and
  • supporting the development of progress reports, briefs, and other deliverables and reporting to project governance meetings.

Business development

Support the ongoing success of a sustainable Commercial and Delivery advisory practice, including:

  • client synergies – be able to discuss the value of RPS service offerings with potential clients;
  • client relationships – have a client-focus, and establish good client relationships; and
  • winning work – actively contribute to developing work proposals in collaboration with other team members.

Business management

Support the overall management of the RPS business, including:

  • personnel – be collaborative, pro-active, and a team-player; and
  • invoicing – diligently complete timesheets, and support invoicing processes to ensure timely and efficient client billing, as required.
