What You’ll Be Doing
The Consultant, Data Management will help to enhance and manage the Enterprise Data & Analytics Enablement database environment, identify analytics needs & lead the design, development and delivery of data pipelines and data enablement solutions to fill the needs using Business Intelligence and various business partners across the enterprise using ETL tools such as SAS, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Alteryx. Databricks experience and knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus. Please note that this role is located in Vancouver.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Data Management & Governance – Act as the key player in leading initiative for alignment to CIBC data management and data quality standards. Implement Data Governance policies. Improve internal data management processes. You also have experience with Data tools such as SAS (3+ years of experience)
  • ETL process – Manage complex data transformation and integration processes supporting business users analytical needs in accordance with the data governance practices. Ability to understanding process processes end to end - from a front line application to an end report and being able to design the best way to implement data enablement solutions for end user reporting/analytics.
  • Consultation Expertise – Develop reports and answer ad hoc requests. Ability to answer and explain the data in the reports to business users. Constant desire to improve delivery of data enablement solutions to the business partners.
  • Relationships Building - Partner with business users, projects managers and other stakeholders to prioritize work and set goals on deliverables. Answer business data questions, investigate data quality/SLA issues and communicate resolution expectations.
