The Consultant-Depositary Compliance role in an individual contributor role that will be responsible for providing oversight, technical and monitoring support to the team and to Senior Level contacts at clients.
The preferred candidate will have an agreed responsibility for the seamless delivery of Trustee and Depositary due diligence, technical and oversight services for NT.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Keep abreast of UK, EU and International regulatory developments impacting the Depositary business
  • Provide analysis of regulatory developments impacting the Depositary business and its clients and disseminate to the business
  • Review of fund documentation
  • Keeping all operational procedures in line with expected risk requirements
  • Providing support to ensure that any information relating to the client is disseminated internally and identify and act upon and opportunities to improve efficiency or work more closely on new business with the client
  • Ensuring all Fiduciary and Depositary requirements are met and escalate any issues to the local Head of Depositary Services and Senior Manager Depositary Compliance where appropriate
  • Providing local support for all on-boarding initiatives
  • Carrying out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact

The preferred candidate should have a fair amount of the following qualities:

  • Knowledge of Depositary duties and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the fund and depositary banking industry
  • Good understanding of the local and broader EMEA fund vehicles and structures
  • Familiar with types of portfolio investment strategies
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Good command of MS Office tools
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience
  • Prior experience in a similar function in a custodian bank, in the securities industry or at an investment management firm that offers the full fund administration suite of services
  • Previous relevant risk management, legal and compliance experience
