JOB DESCRIPTION

NSF is seeking to add a Consultant to it’s growing team. In this role, you will coordinate and execute multiple projects related to Food Safety. You will identify, manage and resolve opportunities and barriers to meet the needs of our clients and/or client’s suppliers. As well as assist in business development activities by establishing and maintaining client relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Food Science, Biology, Nutrition, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Consulting and/or advisory experience
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and regulations (US FSMA and Canada SFCR) pertaining to food safety
  • Minimum of two (2) years work experience with detailed working knowledge of a variety of food industry sectors and the various industry, government and associations interactions
  • Skilled at writing proposal and reports, project management and document control
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with limited direction
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Skilled at working with and interacting with computer technology, specifically various industry/client programs and databases
  • Travel may be required as part of this role and will vary from project to project
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Must be located in the Quebec area
    Salary Range: $40,000 - 66,000 CAD
    The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand client’s needs and requirements related to food safety (i.e. HACCP/HARPC, GFSI standards, FSMA, SFCR) and beyond
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and ambassador for NSF Food & Sustainability Advisory Solutions
  • Manage projects which could be delivered directly at client’s sites as per proposal scope
  • Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines and milestones using project management principles
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, documentations and presentations, as required
  • Ensures invoicing and any customer complaints are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Work to develop client relationships, pursuing new business opportunities
