JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, one of the leading healthcare facilities based in Kuwait, is currently looking for a Consultant General Surgeon.
For this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

Main purpose of this role is to perform General Surgeries.

• Performing surgeries to repair veins and arteries and to treat other vascular trauma.
• Determining all risks associated with the surgery and clearly outlining them for the patient.
• Perform a wide range of reconstructive and restorative operations
• Interacts with the patient and family as a resource for health information and as a collaborator with other health care providers.
• Educates the patient, family and community by teaching not only medical information, but also techniques for preventing disability, coping mechanisms for chronic disorders, behavioral therapy for improving quality of life, medication regimes and rehabilitative functions.
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and impartiality.
• Must be well updated/oriented with regards to new treatment available in medical science
• Promoting and assisting in the instruction, guidance and supervision of junior medical staff
• Facilitating the provision of essential training relevant to clinical staff in the specialty
• Promotes and participates in clinical research and publication

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Must have a doctor of medicine degree or equivalent from an approved school of medicine is mandatory, with not less than 3 years of specialty training in an accredited surgeon residency program.

WESTERN QUALIFICATIONS IS A MUST - CCT, CCST OR AMERICAN BOARD, CANADIAN, AUSTRALIAN BOARD, GERMAN BOARD ETC.

• Relevant license as outlined by a nationally recognized Medical certifying body is mandatory
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic fluency is an advantage.
• Possess very good interpersonal and communication skills.
