Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Controller, the Senior Financial ERP Analyst will be responsible for becoming the super-user of the new ERP for the finance department. You will play both a strategic and operational role in a wide variety of projects related to the continuous improvement and optimization of financial processes and the implementation of the Dynamics AX/365 software. You will work closely with various departments to understand the business needs, integrate them and transpose them into functional specifications to add value.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimize financial processes and participate in the implementation of new technologies or solutions;
- For each assigned project, you would be responsible for defining mandates, milestones, timelines and material requirements, while ensuring that effective communication is established and maintained with the various stakeholders involved in the projects;
- Investigate our current processes and identify opportunities for improvement; and when necessary, perform reminders of procedures or create new ones as required;
- As needed, perform procedure reminders or create new ones as necessary;
- Ensure the creation of documentation and its distribution, identify and establish reasonable performance standards, and produce follow-up reports;
- Gather and analyze relevant information for the completion of assigned projects;
- Actively participate in the deployment of business solutions;
- Prepare analyses and the necessary information to assist in decision-making, make recommendations on various subjects;
- Plan and provide training to department employees.
FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING TASKS:
- Develop tools to facilitate the tracking of production costs;
- Participation in various activities related to the accounting cycle (as needed);
- Involvement in the budgetary process;
- Participate in year-end processes and tax returns;
- Participate at inventory yearly cycle count;
- Support managers, as an expert in your field of activity, in making business decisions and establishing business strategies in relation to major projects;
- Work with controllers in various activities or special projects;
- Support operations in the creation, maintenance and optimization of performance indicators;
- Create, test and validate new financial reports.
