What you’ll be doing
As part of the Market Risk Position Data team, the Consultant, Market Risk Analytics will work in partnership with the Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) Program to ensure relevant data assets are assigned and managed in accordance with the Risk Data and Reporting Governance Framework to satisfy risk measurement needs and reporting objectives. As the Consultant, Market Risk Analytics, you will be assigned a Risk Domain of focus and will be accountable for maintaining best in class data functions and processes for data practices. These will include understanding of the Risk Data Lifecycle management requirement, metadata management, data quality monitoring and analysis, data reconciliations exception handling, and data oversight, servicing the wider Risk Management organization.

How you’ll succeed

  • Operational Support - The Market Risk Data Analyst will provide Day to Day operation support for Market Risk Management in Capital Market and Data Quality management and monitor the level of data quality that meets Enterprise Risk Data standards.
  • Support Quality Assurance Process - To ensure the integrity of risk measures by performing manual adjustments and ensuring entries are appropriately validated, applied, and tracked to meet business and audit controls. Document processes and procedures and help train team members to back up daily responsibilities. Support month end and quarter end data processing.
  • Maintain Controls - Related to the integrity of risk data, conducting ongoing data quality review, ensuring new initiatives including program/product/process design implementation, systems, procedures, documentation etc., meet the standards required to support the business unit objectives and overall controls.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. In Capital Market and Market Risk. Capital market/trading product knowledge and experience in Middle Office functions will be an asset. You are proficient and experienced in SQL query analyzer and Excel. VBA and Python experience is an asset. Working towards CFA and/or FRM is an asset.
  • You have a degree. In Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, and/or related field.
