Consultant Paediatrician with interest in Epilepsy and Neurology

The successful appointee will join a motivated and supportive team of consultants who work a six week cycle of hot weeks to provide the consistent delivery of acute paediatric services and cover for the inpatient wards. Out-patient services and on-call cover to the children’s unit and the paediatric Emergency Department are also incorporated. Resident evening working is part of job plans whilst overnight on-call is non-resident. The department has responsibility for all children admitted to the Trust and so, when on call, the general paediatricians may be required to see children in ED, on the children’s surgical ward, or on ITU.
Occasional Safeguarding work may arise out of ours, and the post holder will be expected to follow local guidelines. Please note the job documents for this post are pending Royal College approval
