Description:
Powys Teaching Health Board employs over 2500 staff over 16 sites including Community and Outreach Centres. We also offer Occupational Health services to our hosted Health and Care Research Wales colleagues and our Primary Care GP, Dental and Optometry contracted services. Powys has no acute setting or District General Hospital in its demographic boundaries so close to home services are essential to the population well-being.
Occupational Health is currently undergoing a review and development of services including Wellbeing so the opportunity for implementation of innovation and creative ideas to enhance service delivery in a rural setting is fundamental to our staff experience, including recruitment and retention. As well as managing our legal obligations in relation to Health Surveillance and Immunisation Programmes.
Being the smallest Heath Board in Wales means that you won’t get lost in the crowd. Everybody at Powys Teaching Health Board is valued for the contribution they make to our varied and diverse portfolio of community-based services. Together, we can continue to make a real difference to our patients and build on our unrivalled reputation.
As a supportive and progressive employer, we actively encourage you to carve out a career with us, through a range of development pathways. We’re also lucky enough to be situated in one of the most beautiful rural counties in Britain, let alone Wales! Achieving a healthy ’life work’ balance is essential, and something we recognise by prioritising your well-being.
