The post holders main responsibilities are To Lead theatre sessions and delegate specific sessional responsibilities. To conduct theatre lists supported by the podiatric surgery team. To conduct new patient assessment, follow up, clinical clerking and special clinics, diagnosing complex foot problems and planning, providing and evaluating treatment. To lead outpatient sessions and supervise the clinical activity of other team members.
To train and supervise the work of more junior team members. To undertake or commission appropriate medical examinations and diagnostic investigations including the use of mini c-arm image guidance. To communicate with patients, their relatives, family doctors, consultants from other specialities and other health and social care colleagues
