Description:

The role is for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide managerial and clinical leadership for Psychological Professions within Offender Health. This comprises

  • Integrated healthcare in nine prisons in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire
  • Therapeutic Community + in HMPs Dovegate and Gartree
  • Offender Personality Disorder services in HMPs Whatton
  • Offender Personality Disorder and IIRMS services in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire

This post will provide managerial and clinical leadership to the Psychological Professions within Offender Health.
The postholder will hold the budget for Psychological Professions within Offender Health.
The postholder will be supported by the Clinical Director for Offender Health, Head of Nursing, Quality and Patient Experience and the three Area Managers as well as the Clinical Leads in Mental Health, Neurodiversity, Substance Misuse and Veterans health.
Professional and line management support will be provided by the Associate Director of Psychological Professions , in conjunction with the Clinical Director for Offender Health.
The postholder will be responsible for strategic direction of the Psychological Professions and will be a senior leader within OH Clinical senate and contribute towards overall directorate strategy.
This team is part of a network ensuring effective implementation and ongoing delivery of Trust, regional and national pathways, and protocols in order that the team can deliver safe and effective, high quality compassionate services.
