Description:
Wolters Kluwer’s Professional Services practice FRR (Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting) provides expert and strategy advisory services, end-to-end architecture design and delivery services to our financial institution clients around the world.
As a Consulting Project Manager within our Professional Services team, you are responsible for the successful delivery of our Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting OneSumX solution for our strategic clients. You are the key point of contact for the client as well as internal stakeholders and you excel in the planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and team leadership of projects.
You will work closely with partners, clients, product managers, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and execute project plans to meet strategic client objectives and goals. This includes managing day-to-day project tasks to ensure project teams deliver on project objectives within scope, schedule, and budget. Communicating appropriately with internal and external stakeholders including metrics (project planning, resource & budget spend, project status, risk & action registers), and assuming overall project accountability.
This role will be based in Luxembourg and will be focusing on projects in Luxembourg (80%) and France (20%).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Presales
- Support the presales process by providing estimation to the Sales team.
- Coordinate the production and submission of contractual agreements.
- Participate in Sales presentation when required.
Project Initiation
- Work with the client to put in place the right project governance to implement the project.
- Define the structure of the delivery team.
- Choose the right artefacts to control the project in compliance with WK ‘s project methodology.
- Produce project status reports and RAG within WK and to the client.
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Communicate project progress effectively to all stakeholders.
- Prepare and make client presentations at Steering Committee.
Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Motivate and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Facilitate project meetings.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify and mitigate project risks. Implement risk management strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Help team members resolving issues arising on the project by collaborating with internal WK teams.
- Tackle and escalate project issues as required.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure project deliverables meet the high-quality standards set by WK and the client.
- Conduct regular project reviews and quality assurance checks.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Provide financial forecasting.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, ensuring projects are delivered within the approved budget.
- Monitor project spend and handle project billing requests.
Continuous Improvement
- Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
Your Profile
- French / English speaking
- Proven working experience (5+ years) as a project manager in the professional services industry.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage various project aspects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
