JOB DESCRIPTION

The Consumer Business Line Technical Liaison within the Product Wholesale and Channel Enablement, Planning team will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating priorities between the business line and technology, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated to the highest strategic priorities for the organization. This person must have a customer focused mindset with a passion for driving strategic efforts. This role will be responsible for aligning priorities in the Consumer space and partnering with technology teams designated to support work as part of the product operating model. Additionally, this position will drive strategic priorities with cross-functional stakeholders to shape the Consumer roadmap and investment areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Act independently as a vocal advocate on behalf of the Business Lines and navigate direct conversations with product owners and senior leadership for decisions on the work that is or is not being prioritized.
  • Serve as a leader for the Business Line that directly interfaces with technology partners ensuring that BL priorities are understood.
  • Work with multiple teams to identify, manage, and track commitments while understanding cross team dependencies.
  • In partnership with leadership, facilitate the prioritization and sequencing of backlog items to align with value and strategic importance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnership with senior leaders, business partners and project sponsors, as well as communicate effectively with the business line, technology, end users, and product owners.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships and build strong relationships within Consumer and Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Consumer Digital, Technology partners and across BLs teams to meet overall strategic objectives.
  • Effectively navigate challenging conversations, including escalations with leadership as it relates to resource constraints.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in project management activities
  • Two or more years of managerial experience

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of project management
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

  • Strong relationship building skills and demonstrated success in achieving organizational objectives through partnership and influence.
  • Deep understanding of the Consumer Deposit and Lending Business Line’s products/services and core technology systems, with an emphasis on Hogan knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in usage of Jira, Confluence and MS Office tools
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with senior leaders, Business Lines and technology partners.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
