Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 1+ years of proven experience
  • Hands-on experience with analytical tools such as SPSS, SAS, R or equivalent statistical package required (able to write/edit syntax to query and analyze data in SPSS is a plus)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (can develop and manipulate complex spreadsheets and data sets)
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and create compelling presentations through data visualization in PowerPoint (Tableau is a plus)
  • Critical thinker, able to sort through complex business challenges and opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible, nimble and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Curious in nature and passionate about understanding consumer needs, market trends and human behavior
  • “Outside the box” thinker, willing to try different research approaches
  • Strong collaborator and teammate with strong work ethic
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with survey data
  • Comfortable sharing a point of view and advocating for consumers
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research (e.g., surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, discussion boards, etc.)

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field such as Market Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Engineering, Business or other related field
  • Master’s Degree in business and/or data analytics field of study preferred

As part of the Walt Disney World Consumer Insight, Measurement, and Analytics team, we have the opportunity to influence and shape the consumer experience by collecting and analyzing data from various sources to represent the voice of the consumer. We uncover consumer needs, struggles and opportunities to optimize products and experiences and deliver meaningful change. Our insights will inform business strategies that enhance the guest experience across our Water Parks, mini golf, ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, runDisney and Disney Springs, fostering long-term consumer loyalty and sustainable profitability. We work side-by-side with internal business partners to solve strategic questions and deepen leader’s understanding of various consumer audiences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Consumer Insight Analyst will be responsible for supporting all phases of the market research process including needs identification, quantitative and qualitative research design, cross-functional project management, analysis, reporting and presentation. This role will support Disney Springs, Water Parks, runDisney, mini golf and the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex and will report to a Manager of Consumer Insights.
