QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.S. (minimum 2 years’ experience) / Ph.D. (0–1-year experience) level in Toxicology or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an environment of regulatory toxicology and product safety preferred.
  • Experience preparing product risk assessments, and developing risk mitigation practices, for chemical substances and preparations.
  • Competent at reviewing toxicology and related chemical safety data.
  • Working knowledge of mammalian toxicology assays and testing protocols.
  • Working knowledge of chemical legislation, safety and labelling of chemicals and preparations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities effectively.
  • Proven track record in active collaboration with R&D and non-R&D functions as well as third parties.
  • Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative and persistence and a hands on approach to results delivery.
  • The ability to effectively manage projects and relationships with local partners, contractors, and consultants to achieve Reckitt objectives.
  • Industry experience, preferably in FMCG.
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
  • Bias for action, capability to define, evaluate and take risks.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral (in English).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of building strong working relationships.

Responsibilities:

To support the Consumer Safety Line Manager in completing the assigned safety assessments of raw materials and complete formulations in the Home, Hygiene and Consumer Health segments.

  • Work collaboratively with the Category Teams to establish and implement product safety and risk assessment strategies within agreed timescales to bring competitive advantage to Reckitt brands.
  • Generate the global, core regulatory dossier and relevant human health safety assessments to deliver a pipeline of product innovation in the assigned Category segment(s).
  • Work with cross function teams to ensure on-going regulatory and safety compliance of Reckitt’s existing product portfolio.
  • Work closely with external partners, contractors and licensees to ensure that product safety issues are properly managed and resolved.
  • Ensure hazard and risk assessments, and risk mitigation information for products are carried out in accordance with Reckitt policies, guidelines and statutory requirements globally.
  • Ensure products are properly categorized for hazard per global requirements and guidelines.
  • Ensure that hazard and risk mitigation information is incorporated into core Product Safety Data Sheets (PSDS) for products in accordance with Reckitt policies and statutory requirements.
