The Consumer and Shopper Planning Manager is a key member of our Category/Occasion brand team that reports to the Head of Planning within Diageo Colombia’s Marketing organization. It is an exciting role that is expected to lead the business with ideas and insights that sell more, enabling teams to make the right decisions that make strategic, commercial and financial sense within the ever-changing context of socialization and celebration.

Top Accountabilities:

  • Externally attentive -to culture, trends and market place dynamics- to detect the factors that could positively or negatively impact our brand and business performance
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources - quantitative and qualitative – and demonstrate deep understanding of research techniques
  • Draw conclusions from vast array of data, and be able to connect the dots in order to define opportunities for brand/category/market growth
  • Build compelling narratives to effectively influence the business to make the right strategic and commercially savvy decisions
  • Apply learnings from measurement and evaluation to increase productivity of our A&P spend
  • Drive a culture of marketing effectiveness and help accelerate the adoption within marketing of the digital transformation capabilities

Ideal Experiences and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years proven track record in research/planning roles with a significant focus on strategic brand planning.
  • Evidence of sound quantitative analysis and an ability to articulate business recommendations
  • Insatiable curiosity for understanding consumers and the world they exist in, with evidence in applying this to drive brand growth
  • An ability to bring the future to today’s world and roadmap actions to make it happen
  • Intermediate commercial acumen to be able to articulate how execution metrics affect brand and business performance
