Are you looking for an exciting new challenge as a Contact Engineer at the Sarnia Refinery? As an Engineer In Training, you will gain exposure to engineering assignments and apply your knowledge of technical principles. You will use your judgement to assist of alternative versus desired end result when working on Engineering projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with minimum 3-5 years’ work experience.
- Professional Engineer status from provincial association in jurisdictions with professional associations
- Manages own time and can address numerous issues simultaneously
- Developed interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with broad stakeholders
- Good knowledge of applicable Codes, Standards and Regulatory requirements
Responsibilities:
- Continues to perform assignments of smaller scope and complexity but is broadening experience and technical expertise
- Can make modifications to engineering designs or procedures, to meet performance specifications; draws on available resources to identify and evaluate enhancement opportunities.
- Ensures Process Safety Standards are incorporated in design and execution of Change Management
- Assesses both direct and indirect outcomes of proposed changes and incorporates mitigating actions within design or recommendation
- Employs a structured decision-making process-can test own hypothesis against data
- Able to independently develop solutions and present to cross functional team members; Able to independently respond to technical queries
- Thinks job through to completion and identifies significant adverse consequences
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
- This is an office based role, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
