Job Description
We are looking for a new team member who is confident with writing and developing content in both short and long form to join our Communication and PR team based in Munich.
You will work closely with other teams within the Strategic Marketing and Digital division to communicate the Brainlab story to our audiences. Every day is different in this role: Some days you’ll be writing web content or copy editing the launch brief for a new product, others you’ll find yourself writing a scientific blog post or proofreading the transcription of video interview. As a Content Development Manager within our Communication and PR team, you’ll help to bring our unique Brainlab voice to every written word, both internally and externally. You thrive within a collaborative environment bringing a positive, can-do attitude, a keen attention to detail and the ability to make deadlines and effectively present your work through strong communication skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Proofread and copy edit product, corporate, marketing, clinical and sales materials written by both English native and non-native speakers for internal and external purposes (60%)
- Work cross functionally with Project Management, Social Media, Digital, Brand and Design, Product Management, PR, Events, and more to assist and support with various content creation requests (20%)
- Conceptualize and write new content for external purposes such as our web site, company blog and corporate videos (10%)
- Translate German copy into English through a good understanding of the German language (10%)
Qualifications
What you bring to Brainlab:
This role requires a love of writing as well as the ability to understand and generate gripping, stories that are relevant to the audience and purpose. Your writing style and approach to work should demonstrate:
- Exceptional skills in editorial writing and editing with at least four to five years relevant experience as a copywriter, content developer or similar. Background in the healthcare/technology/IT industry/marketing environment are a plus.
- You are curious and proactive in researching and learning about technical topics in an innovative and agile environment and able to translate technical and business concepts into easy-to-understand communication deliverables.
- You speak English at a C2 level, fluency in German is a plus.
- Experience with SEO keywords implementation and content marketing techniques is a plus.
