The Content Marketing Operations Specialist position is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and collaborative content marketer. This individual is passionate about the operations and infrastructure required to enable a broader content marketing organization. This Content Marketing Operations Specialist will be a part of a hard-working content-focused team to develop the critical backbone vital to enable collaborators to build and deploy content more efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing operations and content marketing, with knowledge of the life science industry being a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across a matrixed organization are important for success. They will have the opportunity to work on content operations projects throughout the broader organization, with the goal of growing the value of content sought by customers.
Location: Onsite at Carlsbad, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; Rockford, IL; Ft. Collins, CO

Responsibilities:

  • Govern an established tagging framework used to classify content across multiple businesses and regions within the division. Ensure alignment with the broader corporate taxonomy.
  • Own the divisional Content Library infrastructure and chip in to the expansion roadmap, including the addition of content usage and performance metrics, as well as identify and build regional assets.
  • Act as a subject matter authority in the division’s catalog of content and its taxonomy as new content and platforms are launched. Ensure alignment across the matrixed organization, including Marketing Operations, Regional Marketing, and Global Marketing.
  • Ensure divisional alignment and integration with content technology driven by partners at the Group and Corporate levels and supporting organizational change.
  • Drive strategic content audits to improve the customer experience shared across the division, focusing on staying current with modern content technologies.
  • Assist in the development of processes, metrics, and benchmarks for efficient content production and optimization. Use emerging content technologies such as generative AI, and sharing standard processes with peers and leaders in the division.
  • Work across the matrix to collect and advocate content operations standard processes, such as editorial calendars, development processes, and asset/content management, and sharing established best practices during divisional town halls, showcases, and communications.
  • Collaborate with Analytics and SEO teams to ensure they are fundamental elements of content operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest content management technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
