Mamamia is on the lookout for a Content Producer to join our best-in-class editorial team.

Please note , the working hours for this role are Tuesday - Saturday 9am-5pm, with hybrid work available.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.

We’re looking for a Content Producer (Weekends) with a keen understanding of the media landscape and a talent for pitching stories that resonate with the Mamamia audience across entertainment, lifestyle, and news. Your primary focus will be crafting compelling stories and packaging them with engaging images, captivating social sells, and dynamic videos for platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
You’ll have a diverse approach to content, always considering what will captivate and engage our readers. This role involves content planning, team coordination, and responding swiftly to breaking news and major events. Working closely with the Weekend Editor, you’ll ensure a seamless and engaging content experience for our audience.

Here’s some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:

  • Pitch and write stories both on a daily basis and for future key dates and events working to a content calendar.
  • Keep across breaking news and a range of topics in the entertainment and lifestyle space
  • Report accurately, fact check and reach out to sources to verify content
  • Write engaging headlines and social sells in the Mamamia tone.
  • Load posts, source and select relevant images, video and podcast content and related links.
  • Use data and metrics to inform pitching and have a finger on the pulse for what women are talking about.
