BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of 3-year college Diploma and/or University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field;
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience creating digital branded content in a corporate environment;
  • Ability to deliver high quality writing in a variety of formats (news articles, scripts, headlines, corporate communication), and a firm grasp of CP Style.
  • Experience managing, creating and maintaining internal publications including email newsletters and annual reports;
  • Experience partnering with teams to define, build, and maintain web experiences that are critical to growth, engagement, and retention;
  • Expert in WordPress and proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CMS;
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms;
  • Knowledge and experience with Project Management best practices;
  • Proven success in creating compelling, persuasive, engaging professional branded content;
  • Direct knowledge of SEO, web marketing experience (analytics, lead capture, and marketing automation);
  • Strong knowledge of marketing platforms and technology stack (Google Analytics & Tag Manager) as well as other common applications and social media tools (Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere);
  • Specialized knowledge of content management systems, best practices in digital media and be technically proficient in Drupal, WordPress or have an ability to learn other content management systems.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of communications in a unionized- health care setting preferred;
  • Experience creating branded content for print preferred;
  • Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
