What we are looking for
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer at GoodLeaf Farms, you will play a pivotal role in identifying gaps and optimizing our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify areas for improvement, implement solutions, and monitor performance metrics to ensure continuous enhancement of our operations.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify factors impacting production performance and implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices to drive consistency and quality.
Collaborate with production, engineering, logistics, horticulture, and quality assurance teams to optimize equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other improvement tools to drive measurable results.
Provide training and guidance to team members on continuous improvement methodologies and techniques.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against targets, providing regular updates to Farm leadership.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field;
Proven experience in continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other improvement tools.
Project management experience is a must.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant methodologies is highly desirable.
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using statistical software preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence change.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving process improvements and achieving measurable outcomes
