Description:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field. (Equivalent education/experience will be considered).
- Knowledge of basic lean concepts and continuous improvement tools.
EXPERIENCE:
- One to Three years of experience supporting Lean/CI activities in an industrial manufacturing or engineer-to-order manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a world class lean environment in preferred.
- Operations or Engineering background is preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining engineered labor standards utilizing a predetermined motion time system is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess strong written and oral communication and presentation skill with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Ability to effectively facilitate activities and discussions using a defined process.
- Ability to write reports, general business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to create standard work document.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Must be a self-motivated learner.
- Ability to energize and motivate teams.
- Facilitate change from a position of an influencer.
- Ability to lead without direct authority.
- Capability to recognize conflict and take action within scope of the role.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Strong capability with personal computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where, under certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
