The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls
  • Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products
  • Plan, design, implement and manage integrated production systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control. Integrating people, information, equipment, processes and energy throughout the life cycle of the product
  • Establish new manufacturing systems and modern manufacturing practices, such as, but not limited to: Kanban inventory, 5S, lean, and time analysis, problem solving and resolution techniques using tools and process, including statistical process control
  • Establish methods, equipment and layout of production processes
  • Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency

Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

OR

  • Technical/Vocational/Trade School Diploma in an engineering technology discipline AND seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environmen

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Demonstrated project leadership abilities on highly technical and complex projects
  • Ability to lead and contribute across a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma/Quality Improvement
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Microsoft Office proficient, Minita
