Continuous Improvement Lean Project Specialist

• Develop and deploy an Industrial Engineering strategy to deliver Customer Service Excellence and Operational Excellence.
• Provide support to production plan, production facilities and equipment layouts, determines the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel, including re-designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage head count planning, man machine ratio.
• Develops metrics to measure operators, machines and factory capacity and output, and to identify machines and process flow bottlenecks.
• Performs root cause analysis of performance deficiencies.
• To take part in and give guidance to cross-functional teams rolling out the Lean Manufacturing initiatives throughout the site level.
• Works with the Plant’s Leadership team to perform gap assessments on the Plant’s manufacturing system, perform time motion study and create current and future state value stream maps, and develop Lean improvement plans and schedules.
• Lead cross-functional teams through kaizen events and the implementation of the lean toolset (e.g. cellular flow, line balancing, standard work, 5S, material and information flow, total productive maintenance, quick change-over) to reduce cost, reduce inventory, improve lead-time, improve quality, and achieve organization performance improvement efforts.
• Strive to develop best practice methods, workplace layout and workplace organization to gain productivity, throughput increases, inventory reductions, and operating expense reductions.
• Assist in training employees in Lean Techniques and Principles in order to develop an organization wide culture of change.
• Acts as plant expert and business consultant in lean manufacturing.

Minimum Requirements and Skills/ Knowledge/ Additional Remarks

• Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 5 years and above working experience.
• Practical experience in Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen / Value Stream Map / Gemba.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
