SUMMARY:

You will support development and implementation of the Practical Process Improvement program globally across CSD. You will build on the strengths of prior transformation efforts, while leading new initiatives to discover opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead large complex projects with global impact across CSD
  • Trains and Mentors employees on Lean-Six Sigma tools and current onsite programs
  • Coaches and develops leaders to adopt PPI concepts and techniques across the organization
  • Facilitates cross-functional teams through identification of improve opportunities, roadmap development, and supports project execution and benefits tracking.
  • Monitors and reports key performance indicators, performs root cause analysis, implements action plans, and strives for continuous improvement
  • Works closely with finance to build operational budgets and calculate the financial impacts of improvements

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Business, advanced degree required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years experience leading Lean-Six Sigma projects and mentoring others, ideally in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices or health care is preferred.
  • Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt certification desirable.
  • Hands on experience facilitating Work-Outs, Kaizen workshops or other problem solving events.
  • A strong understanding of SPC, Guage R&R and Design of Experiments.
  • Experience driving performance and results at the shop floor level.
  • Leadership of multiple cross-functional team projects at once with responsibility for results.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Operational Excellence concepts and tools, such as VSM, tiered daily management, gemba, standard work, cell design, kanban, waste prevention and cycle time reduction
  • Proficient skills with Minitab and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask priorities and projects
  • Ability to encourage and cultivate innovation, collaboration, and team efficiency
  • Ability to create and deliver training material for employees on PPI topics and site initiatives
  • Ability to drive functional, technical, and operational excellence at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
