MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 + years’ research administration experience in a setting such has higher education, medicine, scientific research, or closely related field. This professional experience must include reviewing and negotiating complex contracts, preferably at a university. This experience should include educating and guiding stakeholders in the development of competitive proposals and award administration of projects as well as funding policies, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge and implementation of government regulations related to STEM research, contract interpretation and ability to understand technical issues.
• Demonstrated ability (or experience with) to recognize unusual non?routine situations and circumstances, assess and analyze issues and impacts, and provide alternative solutions.

• Master’s Degree

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to critically analyze and problem solve;
• Demonstrated ability to build report with Mines community, contract/research sponsors, and additional stakeholders;
• Demonstrated knowledge of managing and monitoring technology contracts and vendors;
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and persuade audiences on contracting language, monitoring, etc.
• Knowledge of Mines & government regulations
