Our Project Support Team in Gelsenkirchen is looking for you!

Responsibilities:

The Contract & Claim Manager supports the project in the formulation of contracts and the creation of official business letters relating to the contract. Furthermore, they process supplements, overruns and other claims from contractors with the aim of defending against them or minimising their impact.

The tasks of the Contract & Claim Manager include:

  • Responsibility for the organisational and operational management of contract and claim management
  • Collaboration in the design of enquiries and tenders as well as the review of offers and contract documents with regard to project and supplier-specific claim strategies
  • Supporting the commercial project manager in drawing up contracts and drafting contracts with contractors in projects
  • Accompanying the execution of contracts, including ensuring contract and addendum management and supporting contract-related risk management
  • Analysing performance deviations and their impact on the construction process as well as presenting the time and financial consequences (target/actual comparison)
  • Advising the commercial project manager and the project teams with regard to contractual issues and claim potentials as well as providing support in defending against claims and initiating the necessary organisational measures
  • Support in the management of contract-related correspondence and the pursuit of registered claims
  • Participation in contract discussions and supplementary negotiations
  • Defining and ensuring a standardised processing system for supplements and claims as well as developing and implementing contract-relevant and suitable key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimise contract processing management
  • Analysing and transferring experience between the individual projects (lessons learned)
