Description:
TE KŌWHIRINGA | THE OPPORTUNITY
Downer hold a long term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons, 100 courts and 157 community correctional sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support a core Government service.
This role requires the Contract Compliance Auditor to undertake audits against key compliance deliverables in the Corrections & Justice Contract. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to audit against detailed standards to ensure that practices align and identify any corrective actions required. This will include internal and external compliance with contractual, company, client, and statutory requirements, and providing technical and quality related advice. This will involve routine travel to the 15 prisons around the motu.

- Skilled and experienced audit practitioner
- A sound understanding of regulatory requirements and technical systems
- Ability to work methodically, and accurately
- Food, health or hazardous substance management experience would be highly regarded
- Good organisational skills to be able to plan and manage resources effectively
- Experience in effective stakeholder engagement
- Ability to produce meaningful reports that all areas of the business can understand to enable great decision making priorities
