    Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Delivery Manager to join their team in Hamburg. This exciting new role offers the opportunity to work directly with the CEO and management team.
    The successful Contract Delivery Manager will oversee all contracts and commercial management activities for major government and other commercial programs with the German Armed Forces (GAF).

Key Responsibilities for the Contract Delivery Manager:

  • Support the commercial management of key government contracts, handling everything from bidding and negotiations to implementation and ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Pre-Contract Bid phase:
  • Collaborate on developing proposals that meet or exceed customer requirements, following internal quality guidelines and ensuring compliance. This includes a focus on fully understanding and mitigating potential contractual risks.
  • Support the GAF Sales Director and CEO in pricing offers and negotiating favourable terms and conditions for the German Armed Forces.
  • Coordinate contractual clarification questions and participate in customer presentations and negotiations as needed,
  • Contract Execution Phase:
  • Oversee the successful implementation of the customer contract, ensuring all elements are completed and documented according to company procedures.
  • Work closely with the project team to guarantee adherence to the terms and conditions set by both the company and the customer.
  • Ensure the contract terms are communicated effectively to all relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Post-award Phase:
  • Safeguard good governance and ensure the contract stays on track by monitoring compliance with terms and conditions and managing any necessary changes or amendments through a documented agreement process.
  • Monitor and control GAF project rollout costs, ensuring accurate and timely allocation, approving supplier invoices and identifying any budget overruns promptly, escalating them internally or externally as needed.
  • Represent the Company at key customer contract and commercial meetings being one of the key customer interfaces for the GAF alongside the GAF Sales Director and the Head of Government Projects including liaison with the German Armed Forces and other Government Defence Primes and suppliers and other stakeholders as required.

Key Skills & Experience Required by the Contract Delivery Manager:

  • Must hold or be eligible to gain German Security Clearance Ü2.
  • Commercial and Contract Management experience.
  • Must have had experience working with German Armed Forces particularly relating to GAF contracts within GAF.
  • The English language is essential to be able to communicate with the head office.
  • The German language is essential to be able to communicate with GAF.
  • Commercial acumen including ability to produce cost models and manage the profitability of projects through life.
  • Experience working in an international company and have an international outlook on business.
