Description:

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for low-power IoT devices.
  • Implement and optimize FreeRTOS-based systems on Cortex armv7 architecture.
  • Strong background in firmware development with a focus on C++ 11/14.
    A leading IoT company based in Sydney is looking for a highly skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to join their team. This 6-month contract position offers a chance to work on cutting-edge devices meant to address environmental challenges. With a possibility of contract extension depending on the company’s roadmap, this role could be your gateway to a long-term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for low-power IoT devices.
  • Implement and optimize FreeRTOS-based systems on Cortex armv7 architecture.
  • Handle low-level hardware interactions including interrupt handling and power management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and robust solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues to ensure optimal device performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in firmware development with a focus on C++ 11/14.
  • Deep understanding of FreeRTOS and its application in real-time systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Cortex armv7 architecture, particularly in low power operations and interrupt handling.
