Job Description
The Continental Metering Business Operations department is the process engine for all metered business activities in Germany, Iberia, France, Italy and Poland, and possibly more continental markets to come. The team is an important contributor of the deal entry to payment value chain of a contract, ensuring accurate validation of all contract parameters, master data and contract configurations, balance and contract settlement, invoicing & accrual processes, payment preparation & P&L calculation. This department has important interfaces and deliveries to our New Products and Investment Support unit, EU Regulatory Reporting, Revenue Operations, Certificate Management and many other different departments in the Finance, Accounting, Tax and Legal areas.
The Contract Implementation team is responsible for setting up our contracts with owners of renewable energy plants and service providers in the Energy Data Management System. In addition, the team maintains the technical and commercial master data across the entire lifecycle of the contract and processes customer enquiries relating to billing.
Your tasks:
- Coordinate and manage contractual, system and invoice-specific requirements from Sales, Invoicing, Settlement, Accounting and other internal departments
- Key resource for standard contract setup in our Energy Data Management System, including new implementations from concept to deployment, as solution designer and implementer
- Maintenance of technical and commercial master data throughout the entire contract life cycle and processing of plant owner enquiries about invoicing
- Ensure end-to-end testing of new contract implementations under consideration of the existing contracts, configurations, interfaces and processes
- Identify potential synergies between new and existing contract configurations across markets and prepare our system with flexible solutions for the future
- Drive improvements of existing contract configurations through business and system knowledge and increase the degree of automations
- Ability to work in agile environment and work on ad-hoc requests
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in economics, engineering, or similar with relevant work experience (recent university graduates with relevant experience through internships/working student jobs can also apply)
- Previous experience with Energy Data Management Systems (e.g. Robotron eSales) and experience in the renewable energy sector will be positively valued
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and first experience with SQL or Python
- Technical understanding and mathematical thinking coupled with flexibility and creativity under constantly changing market conditions
- Good communication skills to strengthen co-operation within the team and across different departments
- Fluent in English and German
