Description:

OUR CLIENT IS ONE OF THE LEADING PLAYERS IN THE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION SECTOR. DUE TO BUSINESS NEEDS, THEY ARE NOW RECRUITING A CONTRACT MANAGER TO BE PART OF THEIR TEAM FOR ONGOING TRANSFORMATION PROJECTS. THEY ARE LOCATED IN THE EAST – EASILY ACCESSIBLE.

Responsibilities of Contract Manager :

  • Provide comprehensive contract review and guidance, including scope assessment and cost negotiations.
  • Implement robust cost control measures to maximize project profitability and monitor budgets.
  • Manage all aspects of project documentation, including tender bidding, progress reports, and settlement.
  • Oversee work-in-progress monitoring, prepare reports, and certify progress claims for timely project execution.
  • Handle variation requests, assess cost changes, and substantiate claims for additions or omissions.
  • Resolve contractual disputes amicably with internal and external stakeholders, liaising with legal counsel when necessary.
  • Drive risk identification and management processes, defending claims and facilitating dispute resolutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Accountant for budget forecasting and cash flow reviews to ensure financial stability.
  • Maintain effective communication with Business Units for project updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in contract management and project execution to optimize outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 8 years of contract management experience
  • Knowledge in PSSCOC and Singapore Commercial Law
  • Experience in Quantity Surveyor will be added advantage
