Description:
Contract Management:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensuring all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring contract performance to ensure all parties meet their obligations.
- Managing contract changes, variations, and amendments, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Maintaining accurate records of all contractual documents, correspondence, and changes.
Dispute Resolution:
- Identifying and assessing potential disputes or conflicts that may arise during the project.
- Developing strategies to prevent disputes through clear contract drafting and proactive communication.
- Facilitating negotiations between parties to resolve disputes amicably and avoid escalation.
- Conducting thorough investigations and analysis of disputed issues, including document review and site inspections.
- Representing the organization in mediation, arbitration, or litigation proceedings when disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation.
- Documenting dispute resolution processes and outcomes, including settlement agreements or legal judgments.
Quantity Surevying (QS)
- Estimating costs for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Preparing and analyzing tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
- Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Assessing progress claims and variations, verifying quantities and costs against contractual agreements.
- Providing advice on cost management and cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
Communication
- Liaising with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal counsel to address contractual issues and disputes.
- Providing regular updates and reports on contract status, costs, and dispute resolution efforts to project stakeholders and management.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with external parties to facilitate effective contract management and dispute resolution.
