Description:

Contract Management:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensuring all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring contract performance to ensure all parties meet their obligations.
  • Managing contract changes, variations, and amendments, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all contractual documents, correspondence, and changes.

Dispute Resolution:

  • Identifying and assessing potential disputes or conflicts that may arise during the project.
  • Developing strategies to prevent disputes through clear contract drafting and proactive communication.
  • Facilitating negotiations between parties to resolve disputes amicably and avoid escalation.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and analysis of disputed issues, including document review and site inspections.
  • Representing the organization in mediation, arbitration, or litigation proceedings when disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation.
  • Documenting dispute resolution processes and outcomes, including settlement agreements or legal judgments.

Quantity Surevying (QS)

  • Estimating costs for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
  • Preparing and analyzing tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
  • Assessing progress claims and variations, verifying quantities and costs against contractual agreements.
  • Providing advice on cost management and cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Communication

  • Liaising with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal counsel to address contractual issues and disputes.
  • Providing regular updates and reports on contract status, costs, and dispute resolution efforts to project stakeholders and management.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with external parties to facilitate effective contract management and dispute resolution.
