QUALIFICATIONS

  • Several years of experience in contract manufacturing management, preferably in the adhesives, chemical or automotive industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical / mechanical Engineering, Science disciplines, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Familiarity with new product introduction, management of change, and root cause investigation is highly desirable.
  • Six Sigma Green belt certification or other quality / process improvement certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to network effectively across functions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Must be able to work independently and represent DuPont externally.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required (up to 20%)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees contract manufacturing partners, ensuring required proper engineering, technical and process safety support is provided.
  • Lead and support organizational response to critical supplier issues; first point of contact for supplier related crisis management.
  • Liaison to engage all the functional and business-aligned resources required to resolve issues.
  • Manage and track the performance of suppliers and drive improvements in quality and related services: EHS/Product Stewardship, Product Quality, Service, and Cost.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Communicate on a regular basis to key stakeholders: Product Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Technology, R&D, etc.
  • Coordinate supplier communication in conjunction with Sourcing/Procurement, Supply Chain and Technical functions.
  • Ensure supplier adherence to our specifications and written requirements by monitoring and analyzing supplier processes through audits, performance reviews, and collaboration to deliver improvements.
  • Is familiar enough with activity at supplier to understand the impact of manufacturing issues on the business.
  • Works with the Contract Manufacturing Leader to ensure projects and related work are prioritized based on the business strategy.
  • Acts as owner of all supplier-related documentation; ensuring supplier has full understanding of expectations as defined by contract manufacturing agreements and other related documents.
  • Drives metric reporting process at the supplier to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Typical metrics would include safety, quality, production, cost, yield, reliability, waste, etc.
