JOB SUMMARY

The Communities and Integration Directorate is at the heart of the Government’s commitment to level up opportunity across diverse communities. Through our deep engagement with communities and local authorities across the country, we use the latest data and evidence to improve people’s quality of life in the places they live. Your role will sit alongside teams delivering programmes and projects that impact on communities across the country.
You will lead the funding and contract management relationships with delivery partners on projects of a national significance. Previous examples we have managed within our directorate include the Windrush Memorial, now positioned within Waterloo Station

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day relationship with our Delivery Partner, as well as tracking performance against KPIs and managing actions, issues and risks.
  • Embedding strong project management – scoping, managing/ tracking deliverables, managing risks and resources effectively, and ensuring that accountable decision making is well managed through effective governance.
  • Establishing and managing rigorous monitoring and reporting regimes to ensure the team has clear oversight of where and how money is being spent; embedding learning and evaluation.
  • Providing reports / presentations / decision making within the governance structure
  • Collaborating with policy colleagues and core functions such as Commercial, Finance, Legal and Comms, as well as wider government and external stakeholders – to ensure that the project runs smoothly and meets its objectives.
  • Working with the Faith and Belief team on stakeholder engagement. As a project of national significance, you will need to be comfortable with communicating with high profile stakeholders.
  • You will also support work on other contracts and funding agreements across the division which will benefit from your experience and expertise.
