    My client is a top tier fitout and construction contractor that specialise in projects $30million +.
    They deliver high quality projects across the nation, in a range of sectors including small and large-scale commercial workspaces, hi-tech sites, education, science, health, biotech, hospitality and retail.
    As a Senior Contract Administrator/ Contracts Manager, you will hold substantial experience delivering $30Million+ Fitout & Refurbishment projects, with the support of a Commercial team. Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Degree in Construction Management or relevant qualification/experience.
  • Substantial experience delivering projects from $30M+
  • Aptitude to implement processes and procedures, promote positive commercial outcomes and reduce commercial risks
  • Excellent negotiation, written and communications skills
  • Must have experience in the Fitout and Construction industry
  • Proven track record/possess excellent people management skills

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the project team in the preparation and execution during the procurement of subcontractors and implementing the project procurement strategy
  • Negotiate and review subcontract tenders including preparation of tender comparison for review
  • Perform assessment of variations, negotiation of progress claims, and the agreement of final accounts
  • Prepare, check and review subcontractor packages, scopes of work, lettings and procurement schedule
  • Management of client and subcontractor claims process in accordance with the contract
  • Understand and manage subcontractor contractual risk
  • Manage and assess variations, cash flow and liaison with major subcontractors
  • Manage contract finalisation including defects, manuals and variations
  • Co-ordination and compilation of monthly reports
  • Assist the Project Manager with matters relating to project costs reports
  • Manage several Contract Administrators
