Our Head Office is based on the Central Coast, New South Wales with additional depots located in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Townsville, Perth and Hobart. We have been operating for almost 40 years and employ over 250 people.

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Regional Manager the Contracts Manager is a leadership role, managing the commercial aspects of our business in WA, while mentoring and developing our engineers. This role has a strong focus on our clientele in WA. The position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery ensuring a positive triple bottom line performance. The role also includes being part of the regional leadership team providing expert direction and assisting with strategic business development.

POSITION CRITERIA:

Tertiary qualified degree in Civil Engineering
A background within the Civil Construction industry with a suitable understanding of construction projects, work activities, resources with sound plant capability and productivity knowledge.
Minimum of 8 years’ Project Engineer or Project Management experience
Demonstrate experience to lead a team with the ability to build a culture of accountability and performance.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Good understanding of cost control, cost forecast and time deliverables.
Current unrestricted drivers licence
Key Attributes
Civil contractor side career track record with specific experience in the road construction sector – preference given to those with exposure to the stabilisation industry
Strong commercial acumen with proven record in project or contract management role
Leadership ability
Contractors representative experience – preference given to candidates with WA industry knowledge and contacts
Some overnight travel will be required at times in the performance of position duties.
We Offer
Competitive remuneration This position has a salary envelope between $ 165 - $ 195k (dependent on skills and experience) with annual reviews and eligibility for an incentive bonus. A vehicle for limited private use and administrative tools of the trade are provided.
